Is it possible to manage MM6 so that when a character speaks, without someone responding, it does not auto-insert "CONT'D"? I find most of the time, when this does happen, It's not continuous dialogue.

Are you referring to when a character speaks twice on a page with only Action in between? If so, please do the following:

  1. Click on Format > Element Styles.
  2. Click on Character Names on the right side.
  3. Choose the option "No automatic character continueds" and click OK.

That will keep the CONT'D from showing up next to the name but will still show the MORE/CONT'D when a dialogue breaks across the page.
