Universities and College courses?

Postby Clint541963 » Feb 14, 2011 2:53 pm

Are there any known colleges or universities that have any courses that use the Dramatica theory and/or software?

This would be absolutely wonderful. Sorry to say, but I learn much better taught in an academic setting. And I've taken courses on script analysis, basic dramatic theory, and acting. It's not like the theory is in Klingon or nothing in there is understandable...it's just a codification of story unlike anything I've ever seen.

And it's jumping into the deep end, getting the 10 year book, Dram for Screenwriters, and Dram Pro 4.

Although I know a lot of teachers that use Dramatica concepts, and some even the software, in their classes, there aren't any specifically teaching story development using Dramatica of which I am aware. Occasionally, someone will come up to me and tell me they learned about Dramatica at school, but I can't remember where they have said. We have donated and granted so much software since it came out in 1994 that I have lost track.
