Question about updates

Postby waspy » Nov 10, 2009 3:46 am

Hi,

I'm looking purchase some writing software and Dramatica looks the best option for my needs. I wanted to ask about program updates. The interface and displays seem fairly dated and low res to me (e.g. the character icons are tiny and low quality). Are there any plans to improve this...if so would this be a completely new release or an update to the existing release?

I appreciate that sharp graphics aren't the point of the program, but I think working with it as it stands would quickly give me a headache as my workspace is 1920x1200. I wouldn't want to purchase the program only to find a new version coming soon. Any info would be much appreciated!

We are currently working on Dramatica 5, which does not have an E.T.A. at this time. The plan is for the new version to be released sometime next year. It will be an upgrade for current registered users.

Many thanks for taking the time to respond. I took delivery of version 4.0 today and can't wait to get started.

Do you want suggestions for 5.0?

I'm a mac user and there are a few things that seem hinky to me, like maybe it's developed on a PC, and then re-programmed for a Mac.

I hope you re-write the manual as well, and ADD AN INDEX!

What's the situation with this? Dramatica Pro is overdue an upgrade.

Yes, we are WAY past due for an update.

All I can say is that we are working on it right now (still). I'd love to give an E.T.A., but it is so late already I'd rather just "surprise" you when we call for beta testers.
