CHARACTER INTRO

Postby Kippy » Sep 08, 2011 7:20 am

Hey All,

Introducing several main characters during a wedding scene. To spread out the amount of CAPS and description in my sequences, I was thinking of introducing them only prior to thier resepective dialogs. So, I was thinking of something like this. Your thoughts...

An extravegant Roman wedding celebration. No expense spared. Around the banquet table, the wedding party. Young, vibrant, wealthy. Beside the GROOM, a much older man but equally patrician. He is MARCUS ARILUS. Brooding, quite. The consumate Roman General. His age writen on the lines of his face...

GROOM
dailog.

MARCUS ARILUS
dialog.

Listening closely, the beautiful LUCILLA. Flawless, radiant, Roman. A delicate viel covers her genuine smile.

LUCILLA
dialog.

Blah Blah, more action and descriptions...

*JUST THOUGHTS ON PAPER. PLEASE CRITIQUE MY QUESTION, NOT THE FORMAT. THANKS!*

I think that works well. The advantage is that it highlights each character's introduction. The only downside I see is that it takes up more page space, which may or may not be a problem for you.

Hmmm... Is this topic still considered reply-able?

Best Regards,
