Hook, Lure and Narrative - 11 Rules

Postby FreeRangeAuthor » May 05, 2008 5:31 pm

Richard A. Lovett has a 5 page essay on crafting the effective opening for prose fiction, "11 Rules",

"Hook, Lure and Narrative: The Art of Writing Story Leads"
-- Analog Science Fiction and Fact Magazine, July/August 2008, page 123

If you don't want to buy the issue, look for it at your library.

It's worth a read.

Don't buy anything! All of the resources for writing screenplays are available on the internet. My hobby is surfing the net and finding unproduced scripts, reading them, and seeing what might be wrong. http://www.createascreenplay.co.cc
