Well, I am new in this arena. I am an amature screen writer. I am hoping this will help in my development of a network.

Since I am new, writers block hasn't had the opportunity to set in... feel free to bounce ideas off me or look for something inspiring.

:D

Best regards,

Happiness is not a destination; it's along the journey

Hi KissingMyMuse,

Love the name:) Screenwriter, how exciting. I am new to this arena also. I am busy writing my first novel and I am expecting it to be a real milestone in my life!
Do you have anything in the works?

Hi--not new, just live far from LA--in Spokane, WA actually. Not much of a writer--though I can get by...love magazines, especially eccentric ones, love music, things are going good...just very very interested in movie making -- how to get a movie off the ground basically and in the movie theaters, as well as turn a profit. So thinking this site might introduce to some intellectual folks that have a way with making movies. I believe this site is visited often even if the message boards aren't full. You'll see me all over the place. Hope to get some advice back. Jena

I'm a newbie here too - bought Screenwriter 6 recently after lots of demo'ing of the other apps - some things just feel better designed, and the Mac version of FD is nasty! Anyway, since I'm British and this was named, The Pub, I was naturally drawn to it. Let's hope you serve a nice pint of Speckled Hen... :)

I've just started an online UCLA extension (Intro to Screenwriting) course, in an effort to finish that script I've been "working" on for years(!), so I am trying to throw myself into it, and just get back into the fun of writing. My new blog is cataloguing the unfolding events and any other nonsense that springs to mind at thewriterroom.blogspot.com if remotely interested!

Right, I'm off down to a real pub for lunch...

If anyone is interested in FEEDBACK on their work, SCREENPLAY SOFTWARE, and PITCHING. Check out: ScreenplayFest.com.

It’s a new Online Screenplay Festival hosted by Philadelphia. Writers submit their work for only $20. Screenplays are uploaded Online for producers, agents, industry execs, and anyone to leave feedback and review, and they can even contact the writer if they’re interested in the screenplay. Highest rated scripts win awards valuing over $1000 to improve and expose your screenplay.

Even if your not submitting, it’s fun to read other writers work and the best reviewer receives a $40 award. SCRIPPED is an online software for screenwriters, similar to FINAL DRAFT – Screenplay Fest donates this as an award as well as a ticket to the biggest face-to-face pitching event in LA – GREAT AMERICAN PITCHFEST – as well as 3 different types of Analysis Packages. Come check it out… www.ScreenplayFest.com

TESTIMONIALS::

Hello,
I have long been a fan of Dramatica and Learning a process for screen writing called FAST Screenplay. It is an amazing process that covers start to finish making Production ready screenplays producers want to produce. There is a new group starting in February 2011 if you are interested

I know that sounds like a commercial but I am excited about it.

Like I said I have long been a fan of Dramatica and have MM Screenwriter. Story weaver and Story View as well. I am still a newbie, however. I love the Podcast movie analysis.

Hi Sam --

I am glad to hear you like Jeff Bollow's new system. We've been big proponents of it from its start.

Cheers,
