Initially, I couldn't browse these forums without registering first; maybe if this restriction was removed, the forums may see more traffic, generating more users...?

Maybe the forum is an oxymoron: The more one writes, the less there is to discuss?

That sounds true; but stifling silence sounds more like an oxymoron: The forum is an oxymoronic paradox? 8)

I tend to agree with Jaws suggestion about requiring subscriptions. At least at first glance. However, my second thought is that registration is painless and if it is too much trouble to register, then what can the registered forum members expect from someone who didn't register? Probably not worth discussing and more than likely the forum would experience lots of junk. I'm an entrepreneur and I've found that only ten percent of the population fits that mold. There are a lot of wannabees who talk about it but few are successful at it. My guess is successful writers are in that ten percent category. So if you want to write but joining a forum that will help you with that and registering is a stumbling block, then don't give up your day job.
