Newbie question

Postby dramdavies » Nov 02, 2009 2:43 pm

I had a copy of writer's dreamkit a long time ago. One of the features that I liked was after you have put all the information it could suggest the chapters you should have and the key points that should be covered in each chapter. I have just bought Dramatica Pro, does it have this feature, I could not find it

Yes. Dramatica Pro handles it the same way as Writer's DreamKit, and that is through the use of Structure Templates. Both programs have three structure templates: screenplay, novel, and short story.

To use this feature:

PC -- Use the File > Open command and navigate to the Programs Files/Screenplay Systems/Dramatica Pro/Structure Templates/ folder. Choose the appropriate template. These are READ ONLY files, so you will be prompted to save under a different name when you go to save. The EASY alternative is to use our "Story Wizard" application. It locates the folder automatically for you. You may download the Story Wizard for free at http://support.screenplay.com/downloads/DramaticaPro/dpro40.php

MAC -- If you use Dramtica Pro 4.1, use the File > New > Story From Template... command. Earlier versions use the File > Open command.
