Hi,
I haven't posted in a while, so I still consider myself a newbie. Sorry if my question is in the wrong place, but I could use some help. So thanks in advance.
How do I take my Dramatica story information that I have been writing and transfer it to Screenwriter for Outline, or for Scenes?
I've tried Export in Dramatica, and Import in Screenwriter.
Neither seem to work. I must be missing a step or two.
What is the proper procedure?
Sorry if this is confusing. This is all pretty new (and confusing) to me too.

Hi michaelas.
You've got to create Scenes within Dramatica. Dramatica Scenes will appear as individual outlined elements in Movie Magic Screenwriter.

Thanks for the reply.
That is what I'm wanting to know, the steps involved to take those scenes over to MMS.
I already have scenes created.

Re: From Dramatica > MMScreenwriter
TO EXPORT SCENES FROM DRAMATICA PRO:
In Dramatica Pro, go to the Reports window and select either the Story Treatment report or the Treatment and Structure report.
Choose the File>Export to Screenwriter... command. I recommend saving the file in your Movie Magic Screenwriter documents folder.
TO IMPORT THE DRAMATICA PRO SCENES INTO MOVIE MAGIC SCREENWRITER 6:
In Movie Magic Screenwriter, use the File > Import command and select the file you have exported from Dramatica Pro. The file should open and all your scenes imported as scenes. You may find that the associated story points may also import as notes with each scene.

Re: From Dramatica > MMScreenwriter
Great! Thank you Chris! That worked! I successfully imported the scenes from Dramatica.
I look forward to working with MMS in outline mode, using input from Dramatica.
Thanks again.
