how to duplicate info??

Postby Teresa » Aug 06, 2011 7:35 am

Hi there,

Since I'm writing a series of books that are all connected - how do I copy the information already filled out (characters, story lines) and transport it into the other books. Will save me a hell of a lot of time. Tree

There are several ways to accomplish this.

-- The simplest is to duplicate the story document and then remove the material you do not need. You can also use the Storyforming > Clear Storyform... command to clear the storyform for the new document.

-- Another way is to save your characters using the Character > Export... command, then use the Character > Import... in the new document to bring them in.

-- Then there is the ol' cut and paste approach, but that can be rather tedious.
