Writer's Dreamkit Story Engine question

Postby joe52 » Apr 02, 2010 3:56 pm

I have a question about adapting Armando's Instant Dramatica for the Writer's Dreamkit. To reduce time in setting the story engine, would this be the most time effective order?

1. Main Character. Select options for
a, Problem
b. Concern
Option for Main Character's Approach has been selected by Dreamkit
Options for Overall Story's Concern, Growth and Throughline has been selected by Dreamkit

2. Main Character, Select options for
a. PS Style
b. Resolve
c. Judgment

3. Overall Story, Select options for
a. Driver
b. Limit
c. Outcome
Options for Main v. Impact Story's Concern and Issue has been selected by Dreamkit
Options for Impact Character's Throughline and Concern has been selected by Dreamkit

Writer's Dreamkit shows 1 storyform remaining and no story engine options left to select at this point.

Hi Joe --

That looks pretty good in terms of efficiency. Those may not always be the story points you know about your story, but otherwise that looks fine.

However, I can tell you that you'll run into problems with Instant Dramatica and Writer's DreamKit because DreamKit does not show all the story points discussed in Instant Dramatica.
