Hi, below is an analysis of Usual Suspects I pulled from the Dramatica website-- I'm wondering if someone can direct me to an article that discusses how dual main characters are handled. Regarding the below example, it does not seem that Kuyan and Keaton are the same person/coming from the same place/want the same things in the film. What am I missing?

SYMPTOM: Change
RESPONSE: Inertia

CRITICAL FLAW: Evidence
BENCHMARK: The Future
SIGNPOST 1: The Present
SIGNPOST 2: The Past
SIGNPOST 3: How Things are Changing
SIGNPOST 4: The Future

It has been a LONG time since I saw The Usual Suspects, but here goes.

Both Keaton and Kuyan are (or were) cops with concerns about the past. Both fall victim to appearances over realities. Both come to realization -- too late -- of what is going on, only after they reassess the importance of their professional status (which has blinded them to Verbal's/Keiser's manipulations).

That's about as much as I can come up with without seeing it again.
