The Batmobile is a Character.

Postby adambein » Sep 25, 2015 8:37 pm

There's been a legal ruling that the Batmobile is a Character. Seem's to me...why not? Although when it comes to the Batmobile per se I dunno about that. I DO see how a vehicle can be Supportive Sidekick, a Contagonist, or an Antagonist (I think?). Plus it kinda permits other non-human items to be characters. And parts OF a human to be a character. Interesting. Here's a link to info about the court decision:

or simply do a Google search instead.

If you think of cartoons, the idea of non-humans being characters seems obvious.

Cartoons/non-human characters.

Ooh, good point. Thx for pointing out that. I wasn't thinking in that manner. <thinking> "But, in 'Batman', the Batmobile's not so anthropomorphic. Then again, maybe it's just a matter of degree. Hm? Hm. "Christine', the horror film-the car's out to get 'em (or something, 'haven't seen it). So...a car can be an Antagonist-even if it's not super-animated. The Batmobile's a 'Supportive Sidekick'. You know, the Lone Ranger had 'Silver'. Wasn't 'Silver' performing the same function as the Batmobile? Silver WAS always there for the Lone Ranger. I guess so then!"

I don't think the bat mobile is a character in most incarnations of the Batman story. Christine is a good example of a character. The same goes for "My Mother The Car" and "Knight Rider."

Despite the legal decision, the Batmobile is not a 'Characte

That's the same thing I was thinking. Thx for the input/feedback.
