Be-er Character Actors

Morgan Freeman comes through very clearly as an actor cast particularly in Be-er character roles. In contrast, Shia LaBeouf has consistently played Do-er characters. Will Smith has consistently played steadfast, probably Do-er, characters. I'm curious what people think and what Be-er actors come to mind for people.
