Mental Relativity

Postby stephenbuck415 » Apr 23, 2012 1:58 am

The Mental Relativity pdf I downloaded from somewhere is 40 pages long, and ends stating it will discuss psychology next (pg. 38).

Is there a complete version of the text available?

Thanks

The link Graham supplied has the 40 page version. Page 39 shows a diagram and explanation of "Left-Minded Thinking," a.k.a. Male Mental Sex. Page 40 shows a diagram and explanation of "Right-Minded Thinking," a.k.a. Female Mental Sex.

I just finally digested Mental Relativity

It discusses Mind and ends with saying it will discuss when minds interact in Psychology next.

I don't think the two diagrams are what was promised with the last paragraph.

Am I missing that second part or is it not anywhere to be found?

I mean has the entire explanation of Mental Relativity been expressed in book form??

Or is that pdf basically all there is?

Thanks.

... um, er... or is the continuation of the discussion of Mental Relativity actually the book Dramatica: A New Theory of Story??

Surely, that is application, but the exploration of the two Awarenesses in biological preference for which element to stand on first was so much to digest that I am now excited to see if I understand Dramatica better. :)

Anyway, I hope my question about a continuation didn't make you (Chris) shake your head in despair. ;)

And finally, shake your heads like I just did.

The medium of text on the internet has diminished the ability to interpret clearly the intent of the Author because of bolding, highlighting, or any other method of making something stand out.

When I visited my father a couple weeks ago, he would use air quotes for many things. He said he needed to stop doing it. I told him to use air parentheses to make better sense. He laughed. It was still an interesting consideration for communication.

Communication is all symbolic and whether body language (or in that case sign language representing written symbols in speech) or words and pictures or markings of various kinds. The one perceiving those symbols has to understand what was intended and the one communicating (if desiring to communicate) needs to clarify. But even then, the back and forth will continue a lot until the perceiver understands, because the communicator is the mind trying to be understood.

Well, I think I understand what went wrong and understand the last thing Chris posted. That is: psychology does not refer to a separate subject that will be addressed in a separate article, it refers to the Left Mind and Right Mind psychology diagrammed in the last two pages. The entire article was about how psychology develops over time from the underpinnings of how a Left Mind and Right Mind function differently.

So, thank you very much for letting me come to this realization. I hope it is correct. :)

Correct. I believe that is a link to the site before it was revised. Melanie has a copy of it on her site: http://storymind.com/dramatica/archive/pdf/11.pdf
