Dramatica Act Structure_Theme Browser_Story Engine Settings

Postby luissantana » Mar 17, 2011 7:51 am

Ola, I have a suggestion for the next edition of Dramatica, in book format. Would it be formidable when the next edition included Tables of Dramatica Act Structure + Theme Browser + Story Engine Settings. I sure would buy that edition only to get the Tables in the book. I have the Special Tenth Anniversary Edition. Yours, luis

I am not sure what your suggestion is, exactly. Are you talking about screen shots? I suspect you want something more than that, but I need more information to know if we can add it to the next version of the theory book.

Hey, Chris. I dont know what screen shots are! Maybe we are talking about the same only with different wordage. English is not my main language [Portuguese is.] What I mean is like the Reports we get from the Dramatica software when we print them--that print would be ´paste´ into the book, sort to speak. For the Story Engine Settings (e.g.) could be two copies, one filled in already as example and ANOTHER without being filled in, so we could refer to it, and, when needed photocopy it, to fill in manually. I would rather like to use the Dramatica [Story Engine Settings], in book format, photocopy from it [book] and, then, fill it in-- in my own pace. Since I dont have a wireless pc, that would make me happy! (Because I take the book with me to some place and work, wherever I am.) (E.g. Outdoors.) I´m not the only one, I reckond. The Theme Browser I had to make one copy myself in a A3 sheet of paper--so I can vizualize --all at once--Classes+Types+Variations+Elements, when working with the book. The Dramatica Act Structure www.dramatica.com/theory/articles/dramatica-plot.html , here, could be planted into the book as well. I sure would love it likewise.

I think I understand what you are talking about.

You can print the story points report and the story engine settings report with or without a storyform, so that can give you the basis for the chart you want.

You can also create a "blank" version of the Story Points Report / window by using Excel. That way you can customize the format.

Also, if you want a copy of the paper chart of the Theme Browser, print out the downloadable structural chart. Link to downloadable Structural chart:
