How would I write this?

Postby J3K7 » Apr 13, 2014 10:43 am

Hello,

I'm working on my first screenplay, I'm kind of learning it all as I go along. There's a certain scene that I'm wanting to add, but I can't figure out how to format it and I don't know how to word it in the search.

Basically, there's a scene in which the main character is sitting at his desk writing in a journal, I want him to be narrating what he is writing so that the audience can know what it is. He will be writing, as the audience hears a voice over in a sense.

Any ideas on how to write that would be perfect.

There are many ways to write this, but I'd recommend that you keep it simple and obvious, something like the following:

Code: Select all

Bob sits at his desk writing in his journal.

                                BOB (V.O)
Today I really messed up. I blah blah blah blah
              blah blah blah --

... and so on.
