Re: Acts, signposts & scene order
Hi motormind. I think you've asked very good questions. I'd like to share my initial hunch, and in advance acknowledge that what I share may contain some non-accuracies (because I'm still learning the theory). Part 1 of my response addresses the order of Signposts and Journeys. Part 2 addresses your...

Re: Outline 4D 3.0+ Feature Requests
With respect to the multiple monitor request, being able to create a button that resets the screen to a custom view setting would also be helpful. The sample screenshot above is based on Dramatica structure with Class, Type, Variation and Element. I would like to be able to create a button that memo...

Here is a screen print with the step outline of a novel that I am just beginning to write: http://storytechnician.com/images/feature-requests/outline4d-split-screen-feature-request.jpg Using Dramatica Pro 4.0 and concepts in Armando's book, I am able to create a very...

Dramatica 5 & Armando's Instant Dramatica concepts
Will Dramatica 5 integrate Armando's Instant Dramatica concepts in a way that allows reports to run for them? For example, reports that include notes for: Throughline Titles Domain + Concern + Problem Character Arc Synopsis MC Crucial Element + IC Crucial Element MC Growth MC Resolve + IC Resolve MC...

Re: How do I collapse a specific level?
My .syv document contains outline levels 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6. Each level contains a writing prompt that is related to Dramatica, such as the name and description of a class, type, variation, and element. When I view the document in Timeline, everything appears nicely organized. When I view the docu...

How do I collapse a specific level?
I have an Outline 4D document with six levels. When I import an RTF with default heading styles and Outline 4D converts those styles to the corresponding (and default) level, the View > Outline displays everything in expanded mode. My question is then how do I collapse a specific level? For example,...

Re: Outline 4D 3.0+ Feature Requests
I find the All Tracks in Document and Track Sets control panel to be annoyingly clumsy to use. When I add a new track or track set, the new one appears below the selected item. I create a custom name, and then the scrolling window containing it scrolls to the top. That causes me to have to scroll do...

Export to RTF with Style Headings?
Is it possible for Outline 4D to export to RTF with Style Headings instead of individually formatted fonts for each outline element?
If not, I need to add that to the feature request for a future version.
Thanks

Re: Outline 4D 2.3 and StoryView 2.0
I have not reported any problems for probably over a year now, and don't remember if I did or not.
I do know that seeing the problem happen is more helpful than hearsay, so I will record a Camtasia screen recording and provide that in the report.
Thanks

Re: Outline 4D 2.3 and StoryView 2.0
This may likely be no surprise to you, but I've got a .syv file that sometimes crashes the program (and I'm running a 6-core processor with 16GB RAM).
I'll make a movie of the crash if I can duplicate it and then submit a bug report as soon as possible.
Thanks

Historical Fiction - Best Program to create a timeline?
I'm working on a series of Dramatica based novels that involve historical events, and I would love to create a timeline similar to what is displayed here:
http://www.hyperhistory.com/online_n2/History_n2/a.html
What is the best program I can use to create a timeline of events?

NAVIGATION I would like to see easier and more intuitive navigational functions in a future version of Outline 4D. For example, in the attached Encoding1.jpg, if I double-click on any item in the track, I would like to see the related outline element open to a size large enough for me to edit and r...

Dramatica 4.0 - Build Character characteristics text

Re: When will next update of Dramatica Pro be available?
DPX Suggestion: Not sure if I've made this one already, but I'd really like a keyboard option to save in incremental versions, such as Shift-S. Example: Existing way: Create a new Dramatica file. Go to File > Save As, and name the file a unique name such as MyStory.dsf. As I make modifications, I re...
