Re: If comic books have variant covers, why not a film itsel
You know, the more I think about it the more I'm sticking with my thought. I think audiences will want to see variations of the same film-just from different perspectives. ie: I'd like to see a film about that group of ppl in the 'Poseidon Adventure' who were going the other direction in the hallway...

DreamKit4.0/Stuck/Scenes/ Adv. Beginner problem
Here's where I'm at now-I've found this new problem. I've come up with all sorts of scenes, assigned characters to roles/positions, come up with the storyforming, etc. Now I'm at the scene creator and I have...26 scenes I've made (numbered 1-26). Scenes 27-54 I didn't create-they were automatically ...

Ohhh. How would we know what they do? Where was that in the directions? In the next version make that more obvious to knuckleheads like me.

Bump-Slide Patterns/Troubleshooting
Here's a blank Throughline Classes Choices Assignment chart I made to help me. Right click on it to save it, save it as "Blank", and then open it with "Paint". Then assign things as you see fit.

Chart of James' story showing Bump-Slide Pattern
Ah, story version of Pathophysiology. Hey James, I made an anatomical chart to illustrate your story: From doing this we notice a few things (physiology): 1. Each arrow head ends at a different corner box and all 4 boxes are utilized. 2. A 'slide' is always first and last-in every single case. 3. Ea...

How to get CLOSE to figuring out your story's goal.
From the book "Dramatica, A New Theory of Story" by Melanie Anne Phillips and Chris Huntley, 10th edition (the book, not Mr. Huntley), on page 127... "In stories that reflect Western culture-particularly in American culture-the Story Goal is traditionally the Overall Story Throughline...

Writer'sDreamKit4.0/ReverseEngineering/w'Story Engine' tool.
I have found that I was stuck -stuck I say! Sooo I opened up the " Story Engine " (in 'Writer's Dream Kit'). There I found " Main Character " and all the options below it, " Overall Story " and the 5 options below THAT, ' Main vs. Impact Story ' and the 3 options under ...

Re: Main Character is the Contagonist
Not presented first/prior to _______. Just...for the author/to the author. Must the goal be chosen first, because then ea. character's approach defines their position/role. Come to think of it, conversely, each approach must occur, and it is from filling each approach that one can assign each charac...

Software: Writer's DreamKit 4.0/Drop down menus/height
In Writer's DreamKit 4.0: The drop down menu windows aren't tall enough. They need to be longer in height and a skosh wider. In each of the 3 in sub-windows/menus in the screenshot I attached, the full list of items is not visible. It'd be nice to see 'em all simultaneously. The User can't tell if t...

Writer's Dream Kit 4.0 / Getting Started Status /StoryStatus
In Writer's Dream Kit 4.0. Just above "Storyforming" is "Getting Started Status". Selecting that pops up a "Story Status" window. I've taken and posted a screenshot. 1. "COMPLETED" is good. No problem there. 2. The all caps of "STORYFORMING" leads me...

Main Character is the Contagonist
Spotlight as in...the side of the story that's getting the attn most of the time. Kinda like...a story in which there's a cat & a mouse. While the story could have either as the Protagonist, the attn/focus could be on the other animal. 1. So the Protagonist slot MUST be filled by the character w...

Main Character is the Contagonist
1. If the definition of 'Contagonist' includes 'gets in the way of the Protagonist', then my Main Character is the/a Contagonist. That's legal to do, right? 2. If so, then my whole story doesn't spotlight the Protagonist, my whole story puts the Contagonist (and the Contagonist's crew/team) in the s...

Guardian as Protagonist
So then the Main Character can have Guardian traits all the while keeping the Protagonist within it's own role. That'll come in handy.

Can multiple characters fulfill 1 role.
Given the purpose of a role, can multiple characters fill that role to meet the essential requirements? Or/also, can there be multiple Protagonists if you have one Main Character? If there can be multiple Sidekicks, I don't see why there can't be multiple Protagonists or Multiple Guardians. Kinda li...

Re: If comic books have variant covers, why not a film itsel
I understand. But seeing how we're in the middle of "Revival Madness", at SOME point we're going to either have to generate a boatload of new content (like what's happening with docs) that has the same success as the past and spawns a massive following, or we're going to have to explore va...

If comic books have variant covers, why not a film itself?
Comic books have variant covers. If you have two of the same comic books they'll be the same comic book inside but each will have a different cover. Additionally, there are alternative stories too-stories based on characters in primary story, but they become the Main Character in a series of comic b...
