Re: Theory vs. Software - Need help

On the side, Armando's book: Dramatica For Screenwriters is very valuable no matter what type of story you are writing. Armando puts together some very basic methods to help the brainstorming and story creation process. The BRIEF SYNOPSIS, for example, can be initially created with four sentences: 1...

Hi michaelas.

Re: Story to Story Form & Story Form to Story

Hi Kintelary. I don't know what you know, so please bear with me if I repeat something that you already know. First, I'd like to begin by providing a few basic resources for you, and then an experiential commentary will follow. As far as resources are concerned, I recommend the following: Dramatica ...

Re: Setups and Payoffs in Movie Magic Screenwriter?

I've gone back and forth with two systems: MMS and Outline 4D. In MMS I've used the Notes feature, prefacing each Setup and Payoff with two Dramatica terms using CAPS so they are easier to identify, FW (Forewarning) and DIV (Dividend). I've leaned towards using Outline 4D to track FW's and DIV's bec...

Re: Export to PDF

That's not a problem with MMS, it's a problem somewhere on your system. Acrobat/Reader will automatically substitute missing font sets with a default font. You may wish to open up a word processor and confirm that you can utilize the MMS font set. Perhaps removing, restarting, and reinstalling MMS w...

I wish I could offer a solution that worked.

When I have encountered problems and sent a report to Write Bros. through the official channel, they have always responded within the course of a business day.

Yes.

Tools > Document Settings > Event Hierarchies.

You can simply create new hierarchies with sub-levels for additional stories.

Re: Dramatica E-Mail Discussion List

I set the participant list to be viewable by administrators only to reduce the chances of e-mails being harvested by spammers, so to answer your question, no.

To keep this simple,I've sent you an e-mail requesting the address you will use on the list. I will manually add you.
