Re: Plot sequence report / theme

That's an interesting way to think about it, Geoff, though mind-boggling. :) The thing with Dramatica is, the more you work with it, the more you realize how many options there are. Mostly, I flesh out my stories by using only a part of everything that Dramatica has. I try to understand a bit more a...

Series of novels and dramatica

Hi there, I'm plotting out a possible trilogy, perhaps more, for the YA sector. I've done two outlines for book 1 and 2 respectively, and now I'm stuck on book 3. My deadline to get the trilogy approved approaches, so I'd appreciate some creative input. The first two books are fast paced, however, I...

Plot sequence report / theme

Hi there, I wonder about the difference between the thematic quads and the plot sequence report, theory-wise. The plot sequence report in my story says: In act one, "visualizing how an existing idea might be implemented" (Developing a Plan) is explored in terms of Senses, Interpretation, C...

Re: Changing One's Nature vs. Change

Considering the vampires (see earlier post): MC resolve of change: He believes that the transformation process can be stopped by science; however since he fails, he changes his stance on that. The IC's Changing Nature signpost: He virtually changes his nature (becomes stronger, more fierce, more vam...

Re: Social dynamics change

Thanks, this helps a lot. The Responsibility, Commitment, Obligation, and Rationalization stuff works very well with what I had in mind.

Re: Crucial Element of Non-Accurate

Well, it's my first try to base something on Dramatica's brainstorming function. The story is for book 2 in a YA series. Roughly, it's about vampires. One of them has been "infected" and is in danger of turning. The characters try to prevent that. So far the specs my publisher has set. Now...

Social dynamics change

Hi there, I've been contracted to write a book about five teenagers whose social dynamics change rapidly when a new teenager comes to town and is included in the gang. Now for the fun part - how would I approach this in Dramatica? How would I "social dynamics within a group change" transla...

Changing One's Nature vs. Change

Hi there, what exactly is the difference between Changing One's Nature as a signpost and a MC resolve of change? Let's say I have a storyform that includes a MC resolve of Change. This means, the IC remains steadfast (i.e. his influence is "successful" and the MC changes because of that).....

Crucial Element of Non-Accurate

Hi there, I have a storyfrom that includes a MC crucial element of Non-Accurate. My MC is a scientist. Can you think of any examples that illustrate what a CE of Non-Accurate in a scientist means? I need to fuel my imagination... Also, in the character's screen there is no "context" button...
