Re: When will next update of Dramatica Pro be available?
Finally an update...but on what areas...only gists or more? I have followed and used Dramatica Pro for ten years or more and was looking forward to number 5. Not using it for a while I came back to these forums and discovered the story expert for mac. Tried it on my virtual mac and there are neat th...

Re: Dramatica 5 & Armando's Instant Dramatica concepts
Please Chris
when is 5 coming....
I've been wih dramatica 4 way over 10 years...
Does the revenue slow down the process? Or do you have any neat surprises for us?
I hate hype but when it comes to dramatica 5 - a few hypes would be welcome.

Re: Main character as Antagonist?
Thank you Chris! Every answer moves me closer - and learns me more. I've almost made up my mind. I promise - I'll close the whole topic if you could answer just one more question. Does the elements of pursuit and consider make the audience think that they are protagonists? Are the motiviation elemen...

Re: Main character as Antagonist?
Thank you. Your examples was just what I needed. I think actually I'm not going to have a protagonist and antagonist, but will use complex characters. This is a story with only four characters so it will be hard to not make them complex in a way. But I want to ask a follow up question regarding dram...

Main character as Antagonist?
Hi all I have my storyform. I have a paid assigment. I'm writing a play with four characters (I'm writing for 4 actors). I know a lot about the different characters and have a lot of material already. But I really have a drive to mess with what is expected. I want the antagonist to be the main chara...

The search feature on dramatica.com is broken
Hi there.
This is not about screenplay.com but about dramatica.com.
The search feature on dramatica.com does not work.
It is unfortunate to not have a proper search engine on dramatica.com - since it contains so much theory about dramatica.
I hope you will fix this.

Storyform for Jaws and E.T.?
Hi there Has anyone tried to analyze Jaws or E.T. with dramatica? Jaws is covered in the manual, but only in relation to the overall characters. What I'm curious about is who is the impact character in Jaws: is it the mayor or the shark? Who is the main Character in E.T? Is it E.T or Elliot? The que...

Re: how to find the inciting incident
Thanks Chris I'm already getting some ideas about the inciting event. I have decision as the driver. What I'm trying to accomplish here is using my storyform more as a muse - but at the same time structural. Knowing that my driver is Decision already gives me a lot of ideas. But maybe I could find i...

how to find the inciting incident
Hi I'm trying to come up with the inciting incident in my story. Does anyone know how to use Dramatica for this purpose. wich terms in the storyform have a relation to the inciting incident (even if Dramatica don't use the term inciting incident) I already have a storyform I'm sure of and I also hav...

Re: How many of the four MC Dynamics affects IC
Hi again. I just wanted to clarify my question. If a main character is Change, I have learned that the Impact character is steadfast. Does this mean that...: 1. if the MC is a Do-er - is the IC a be-er? 2. If the MC Growth is stop - is the IC Growth start? 3. If the MC Problem-Solving Style is logic...

How many of the four MC Dynamics affects IC
Hi there
I already know that a Change MC requires a Steadfast IC.
But what about MC Growth, MC Approach and MC Problem-Solving Style? Is the IC the opposite in these choices too?
