Hi Steve,
Noticed that the last time you popped in was 2008. Would love to have an update on the update.

Writing a Series
When using the same characters, or the same locations in different books - how does one transpose the information from one to the next work in progress?

how to duplicate info??
Hi there,
Since I'm writing a series of books that are all connected - how do I copy the information already filled out (characters, story lines) and transport it into the other books. Will save me a hell of a lot of time. Tree

Re: When will next update of Dramatica Pro be available?
I've surfed a lot of fiction writing software and I keep coming back to Dramatica. I've invested a lot of time but it's worth it. The things that I would REALLY want to see in the new DP6 are: 1. word count- it might sound crazy but as a writer I love to pace myself. So if I could set a goal of 1,00...

So who's right?
Okay, I've sent my script to two editors and the formatting corrections were different. Being writers we're self-taught so my questions are: 1. Scene line - when moving from one scene to another, and it's continuous do you write ex. INT. LOBBY - CONTINUOUS ? Or just INT. LOBBY? 2. One editor taught ...

Re: statistics and targets
Thanks everyone, That's too bad you can't write in dramatica because that was what I wanted from the beginning. To construct my outline, which I have, and to be able to type as I pull up info as I go along. For me, it's no use having two programs open, and cutting from one to continue in the next. T...

statistics and targets
While comparing software I noticed that one has a statistic and target mode. The Draft target shows if you are writing, say a 100,000 word novel, shows how far you are (56,000 words example) They also have a session target that if you program 250 words a day - it will show if you met your goal and h...

Re: Newbie
I'm wondering could it also be the actual dramatica program?? If we downloaded another one and the same thing happens we know it's my computer, if not it could be the program.

Re: Newbie
Tried everything and found nothing. Ended up going to 'help' and examples and this popped up. But nothing downloaded. Build Story Examples This command updates the Dramatica Story Examples file to include all stories located in the Examples folder. If you add story files to the Examples folder and r...

Re: Newbie
Okay, here's another question.
Went to Youtube to see some demos and for story examples I clicked on open book, a window pops up asking me which file on my computer I wish to open but no examples to pick from. Could my download have come without the examples?

Hi There, I'm a published romance writer and am using Dramatica for the first time and am in the process of reading the notes and entering my characters. Here are my questions. 1. On the Create Character what is the 'typecast' button and when would someone use it? 2. In 'Build Character' how can I r...
