Re: Future of MM Screenwriter
Well, Once again I posted with an impulsive optimism, while at work, as if I had this brilliant idea that would show the way for MM Screenwriter to greatness and avoid the mistakes of Final Draft that needed to get out immediately. (Did I learn nothing from watching Pinocchio?) I was listening to Sc...

Future of MM Screenwriter
I am not a professional but Movie Magic Screenwriter needs to listen to episodes 129 & 130 of ScriptNotes podcast if they want to survive. 129 to hear the blindness of miopathy and 130 to hear the solutions for survival and maybe even becoming an industry leader. I say this with love as a fan of...

Re: Different Take On "The Descendants"
Or is he a do-er who is out of his element in this story and has become an introspective do-er. His natural state is doing. That may be why he is in this mess. He was too busy doing he didn't take the time to BE a good father and BE a good husband. When anyone talked about his wife they described wh...

Is there an ETA for when Outline 4D will be available for Mac users?
Will I be able to get an upgrade price from my Storyview 2.0?

Re: Writing with Dramatica
Maybe someone else will find this useful- Here is a very helpful answer to my question as well. I found it in the Dramatica Story Expert 5.0 software under STORY GUIDE /Instant Dramatica: FROM INSTANT DRAMATICA TO PLOT SEQUENCE REPORT Using The Plot Sequence Report is a way to build a plot outline f...

Re: Writing with Dramatica
Thanks. :) I'm going to have to read that a few times to wrap my head around it. Silly of me to ask for a definitive answer. Yes, it is just up to me to make a choice, but you understand what I mean. I guess I first will have to break down my rough draft to the point where I am able to say, "th...

Writing with Dramatica
Okay, I have a first draft of my screenplay. I have analyzed my screenplay and have created a single story form. Now I want to align my screenplay to my story form. I know there is not just one way to move forward from here and I've heard the advice about setting Dramatica aside because I've done th...

Re: Plot Sequence Materials Report
Cool!
How cool is that?!
(is that too reductive of a reply?)
but honestly, what else can I say?
now I have a practical Dramatica question regarding writing from Dramatica but I'll start another thread.

Re: Plot Sequence Materials Report
…or would it be more like the players in the overall story see/feel/experience things as the Plot Sequence's lay them out but the General on the Hill sees the story happening as it it laid out on the Theme Browser single story form?

Re: Plot Sequence Materials Report
http://dramatica.com/theory/tip_of_month/tips/tip1203.html I found the link above as an answer to my question. (I need to learn not to shoot first and find answers later) but it raises the question: If the Plot Sequence report is a view from the messed up world inside your story then how would that...

Plot Sequence Materials Report
Dramatica for Screenwriters Plot Sequence Materials Report: as well as the Plot Sequence Report (under Dramatica Advanced Reports): I know this has come up before but I am now at a point where I am ready to understand the answer. In these two Plot Sequence reports e.g. "OS Signpost 1 Title: OS ...

Re: Quadrants
Thank you for responding to this. My day job has me driving quite a bit and I have a lot of time to think. I was trying to imagine the STATES in a column and PROCESS in a column as INTERNAL and EXTERNAL are in separate rows. I wonder what culture that Storymind would belong to. Honestly, I don't kno...

Quadrants
Theoretically, if the model were to be expanded so that the STATE quadrants and PROCESS quadrants were not automatically kitty-corner from one another but could be shifted by a thirteenth essential question, what would the question be to determine the quadrant positioning? I don't know how to get pi...
