Re: Character Build Quads
I thought that must be the case, Chris, but then is Dramatica saying that for the "Fixed Attitude" OS, it works best for companion pairs to be the same character in several of the tiles and therefore, relationships? Or should I switch the characters out so I don't have one character appear...

Re: Story Wizard
Oh, okay. I didn't realize that was where the Story Wizard did its thing. Of course, how would I know? Unless I missed something, there were no signs to point me in that direction. But it does seem like the template could be useful and I thank you for showing me the way!

Re: Character Build Quads
Now that you mention it, I do seem to remember seeing the acrhetypal character quads featuring companion pairs of the same character. But in the "Complex Prep" window following the complex characters build decision screen, it says: "A character should not have a relationship with hims...

Character Build Quads
Hello-- I know this topic has been addressed before but the answer came across a bit hazy to me. Now that I have gotten down to my storyform--and it may have happened before that, I didn't check--my character builds have the characters doubled up in the quads across the board in the grids for all fo...

Story Wizard
Hello! I have been using Dramatica for a little while now on a couple of big projects so I haven't had much time to play around with the Story Wizard. The few times I have tried to use it to make a novel template it just seems to launch into the typical Dramatica program with no difference except th...

Re: IC Question
Thanks, Sam, for being willing to help me try to understand what I was missing.
And as usual, Chris, thanks for shining a light on the dark recesses of my ever-more illluminated understanding of Dramatica!

Re: IC Question
Perhaps I have become a little too MC-centric. I have begun to think that the MC/IC throughlines are mostly, if not entirely, about the MC. So are we saying that the MC throughline is the area in which the MC needs to experience change--if he is, indeed, a "change" character--and that the ...

IC Question
I thought I had a good handle on how to choose a throughline for my Impact Character but now after reading the examples in the "Stories" section of the Query System in the Dramatica software I have some doubts. Simply put, my understanding was that the throughline for the IC is supposed to...

Re: Installing Dramatic Pro on new Netbook
This morning I downloaded the Story Wizard from the website and it installed just fine. For some reason, the disk wasn't working right. I would delete this thread, but maybe someone else will have the same issues I did and my gropings in the dark will enlighten them!
Happy writing!

Re: Installing Dramatic Pro on new Netbook
Oh, I figured it out by going to the "Support" section of the Screenplay.com website. It seems to be a Windows 7/Vista installation complication or something that they offer the workaround steps for at the website. However, now that I have installed Dramatica Pro just fine, I can't seem to...

Installing Dramatic Pro on new Netbook
Hey there, Chris (or anyone else who can offer advice)-- I just bought a new netbook with the sole purpose of working on stories in Dramatica on it, and I can't get the program to install. The netbook came with "Windows 7 Starter" installed as the OS. I am using the Dramatica cd I purchase...

Thanks, Chris! The import pictures option worked great after I converted to bmp and downsized the images.

Creating Character Icons
Hey, Chris (or anybody else who can answer the question)-- I am trying to make a comic book using the short story template. I am not sure if this is the best approach for the medium, but thought I would play around with it. I have made great progress using dramatica for prose work, and thought I wou...

Hey, Chris, or whoever can answer my question! I have just gotten to the illustrating part of my story development, and the report so far looks just about like what i had in mind before I started, which is a sign, I think, that I am on the right track. The only hiccup for me--and I am sure I can wor...
