MMSW 6 Voice Dictation?
Hi, A few years ago I experimented using Dragon Naturally Speaking 11 with MMSW6 in Win XP, and posted here about my experience, which was not entirely successful. In fact, I abandoned my attempts after a while because DNS would only execute a few commands when used with MMSW 6, and the 'Enter' comm...

Wish for MMSW7 - Shortcuts for Outline Elements in Script Window
The title says it all, really, but just to be clear, I would like the new version of MMSW (if there ever is a new version) to contain keyboard shortcuts which enable one to globally turn off display of all outline elements (Act, Sequence, Scene, Beat and so on) in the script window. At the moment, o...

Re: Exporting MMS6 To Word
There are also some errors with numbers displayed as degree signs (small O's above text) when trying to export to PDF. I have spent a lot of time over the last A few days transcribing an interview for teaching next week, and I have to be able to put out the electronic version of the file. I thought ...

Difficult to Get to Forums from Homepage
Hi, I wanted to suggest that a link to the forums be put on the Screenplay.com homepage, or, at the very least, that (if there is a link there) it is made obvious, as I cannot find one. These forums are a good resource, although they hardly seem to be used now, and if I had not known about them, I w...

Re: MMS 6 Not Working with Dragon Naturally Speaking 11
Hi Ken,
Yes, you're right, I might have to do this, and while it is not a great sacrifice, it would be nice to have the two programs work nicely with each other.
Thanks for your reply, and looking forward to your response to another thread that I just started.

Exporting MMS6 To Word
Hello, I just did a test trying to export just under a page of dialogue in the Radio Show Template to MS Word 11. There is a consistent error in which the dialogue is displayed in the line below the character name (but, correctly, to the right of the character name). Any ideas about how I can addres...

Re: MMS 6 Not Working with Dragon Naturally Speaking 11
Hi Ken, Many thanks for your reply. For some reason, gremlins were interfering with my computer when I posted my message, and I am happy to say that Dragon Naturally Speaking 11.5 Premium edition (which is the version of the program that I have) is, for the most part, working with MMS6 on my XP Prof...

Re: Dragon Naturally Speaking & Word & Movie Magic Screenwri
Hi Fortean, I was very interested in a 2012 post that you wrote here on the screenplay.com forum about using Movie Magic Screenwriter 6 with Dragon Naturally Speaking, and I was hoping to pick your brains a bit about this. I have been trying to use MMS 6 with DNS 11 (in a Win XP environment), and ca...

MMS 6 Not Working with Dragon Naturally Speaking 11
Hi, I know that there was another post a couple of years ago by someone who had tried to use Dragon NaturallySpeaking with Movie Magic Screenwriter, and I do plan to write to the author and asking about his experience, but was wondering if there or other people out there who had experience of using ...

Re: Can Screenwriter Mimic and 'Interview' Format?
Thanks very much, Chris. Although I looked for template that could accommodate my needs, I obviously missed it! And my needs are much more modest than using any of the instructions which you quoted above – I will only need the character names, and the ability to insert dialogue. One thing that I for...

Can Screenwriter Mimic and 'Interview' Format?
Hi, I'm wondering if Screenwriter can be formatted to mimic standard 'interview' format, in which the left-hand column/margin of the page contains the names of the people being interviewed, and the majority of the right-hand side of the page contains the dialogue that each interviewee says. In other...

Hi Chris,
Sorry to get back to you about this so long after you left your message. I think that I did this, and it did not work, but will try it again and let you know.
Thanks for your reply.

HELP please: iPartner not working
Hi, My writing partner and I have just both (finally) got set up with MMS 6, and cannot get ipartner to connect our two computers. We have tried connecting over the 4 ports that one can use (2200, 2136, 2184, 2245), and have we each tried both of the roles of (1) being the person to initiate the con...

Re: HELP please - Instructional Templates are Blank
Now, things are getting really strange. I figured out that I can 'see' the list of Instructional Templates if I go 'File' - 'New from Template' - 'Instructional Templates'. So, I used one of those templates as a model to create my own template and after every change I made (which has taken the last ...

HELP please - Instructional Templates are Blank
Hi, I recently upgraded from MMS 2000 to MMS 6, and am having a problem with Instructional Templates. I am trying to choose an instructional template, so I go to: Format - Load Styles From - Template - Instructional Templates - Options for Loading Element Styles (here, I am careful to make sure that...

Re: Ability to Reduce Size of The Navidoc Panel
Hi Chris, Thanks for your reply. I had forgotten about the slider controls, so thanks for mentioning those. However, the NaviDoc panel itself has a minimum amount by which it can be decreased in size by being dragged to the left using the vertical splitter, and it is that minimum size that I would l...

Ability to Reduce Size of The Navidoc Panel
I have just upgraded to MMS6, and have been very pleased so far. One change I would like to see in the future is the ability to reduce the size of the Navidoc Panel, i.e., the ability to drag the Navidoc panel to the *left* . Along with this I would like the ability to toggle a switch which would al...
