Re: MovieMagic Screenplay - What is happening with it?
I don't think the servers are working. I bought a new computer and tried to re-register MMSW and couldn't connect. I think it is safe to say this is dead software. FD may be improving, but it is vastly overpriced. I think you'll like Fade In. So far I am liking it very much. That is what I am using...

Re: MovieMagic Screenplay - What is happening with it?
I have also recently purchased Fade In. Not sure I like it. But I am willing to give it a fair shot. And I have purchased every upgrade of FD. It does seem to keep getting better. However slowly, it is actually making progress. That is more than we can say for MMSW. Now mind you, Chris may well be s...

Re: MovieMagic Screenplay - What is happening with it?
The last post promising an upgrade was made over 4 years ago. Please forgive us for all deciding to move on. What with a new FD (several new FDs, actually), Fade In, Fountain, Celtx, and whatever else is out there that *is* being actively developed, you can see why we all went to one of them. Even i...

WordMenu Alternative
They seem to have abandoned this software just as they have the MMSW. Does anyone know of a more current and up to date software that does what WordMenu does? Or used to do?

I dunno if anyone even reads these forums anymore, but they do, could you please add an OPML export to Storyview? I really kinda don't understand why it isn't there already?

Re: Just checking in
I like the name. Did it come from She-Ra? So many questions about Lighthope went unanswered in that series. But then again, we are all writers, maybe we can find our own answers. Like you, I have moved on. I am using Scrivener and Final Draft 10 these days. At least for now. (How many times has FD u...

We Lost One :(
Couldn't have been any more than a day or two ago. A contributor to these forums, Kat Yares, is deceased. :( It was sudden. Congestive heart failure. No one saw it coming. Here is a link to her amazon page. Many of these works were done with software supported in this forum. http://www.amazon.com/K...

Re: Formatting Question
What is your concern here? Is this a spec script? If you want to know how long it would run, read the dialog aloud and record it. That will give you a sense of the real screen time, which is what is really important when you consider page count (one page equals one minute of screen time). Very ofte...

Re: Outline 4D 3.0+ Feature Requests
I find the All Tracks in Document and Track Sets control panel to be annoyingly clumsy to use. When I add a new track or track set, the new one appears below the selected item. I create a custom name, and then the scrolling window containing it scrolls to the top. That causes me to have to scroll d...

Re: .MMSW and .SCW
The .MMSW supports features new in v6, such as outlining and note categories, etc. Ummm... Okay then. That answers THAT question. :) I guess what I am wondering is why we can't save directly to .SCW format. We can import and export, but even importing, if we try to save, we just have to export it a...

Hello, Lighthope.
I like that name. And I do wish we could have seen more of him/her/it than we did. Sorceress was there in abundance, but Lighthope was elusive!

Re: Problems with RTF import/export
I am a script translator and a new user of Screenwriter. I am generally very pleased with the program, but for technical reasons I need to be able to export the scripts to RTF and reimport them into Screenwriter. I've never had luck with the IMPORT feature myself, though unlike yew, it is not somet...
