Identifying a non-speaking character

How do I identify a non-speaking character so he shows up in production breakdowns? There is even a box in production breakdowns to print out non-speaking characters, but I can't find a way to mark them.

Re: IS THERE A RECENT UPDATE?

A poster on Reddit said he got an email about an update to MMSW last week and when he opened the program it was ready to download. I don't have an email and don't know how to check for updates. Any info? There was a small update for Macs. (I can't find the e-mail now.) It also said they are working...

Re: MovieMagic Screenplay - What is happening with it?

^ What the above poster said. I'd much rather hear progress reports than generic "we're working on it" statements. I am currently searching for a good replacement. Found some nice ones, but each one has a tool I need that is missing, which is why I stay with MMSW. Some "Here's what we...

Re: Flipping roles

Would it be confusing to have character flip roles. Not early or mid story, but toward the end. May I give you this example of "character flipping": Richard Ward Sturges from the 1953 version of Titanic . A horrible character that you really wanted to hate. After the ship started sinking ...

Highlighting characters

I need to highlight character names, but MMSW is bugged and the highlights don't come out when exporting to PDF.

Any workaround for this?

Re: MovieMagic Screenplay - What is happening with it?

Well, I'm glad I stuck with MMS, but only for the Name Bank. That is the one thing that swayed me to MMS over Final Draft. (Really, FD's name bank is horrid awful to work with...at least when I tried it. I don't know what their new version is like.) But honestly, any new version of Screenwriter need...

MovieMagic Screenplay - What is happening with it?

So....what exactly is going on with Movie Magic Screenwriter? The software is seven years old. It's still quite buggy. And it is in desperate need of an upgrade. I don't know what is going on with Final Draft, other than the latest version seems to be terrible. But honestly, MMS is looking like aban...

New version of Final Draft coming?

Final Draft will be coming out with a new version for 2009.

Is Screenwriter working on a new version? I understand they were not totally happy with 6.0. Is there a 7.0 coming?

Re: Query

Actually, with the cost of equipment and editing software, you may have a better shot at making the film yourself than tying to get a studio to buy your script. Juts go to any college and go to their drama department. Lots of free labour there. Juts feed 'em. Then go to Visual Arts and get yourself ...

Permissions and links

Apparently, I don't have permission to read the Announcements forum. Strange... Also, I don't find a link to this forum on the main Screenplay website. Might it not be a good idea to have a link there? Lighthope Pearls of Wisdom - "One day you will be old enough to enjoy reading fairy tales aga...

Re: A question about the upgrade

If I understand it correctly, you'll get one huge file which you can save to CD. At least, that is how it worked with me. But I was on the Beta team, so that's how it was delivered to us.
