Re: The Legacy Glitch
The way the crash gets triggered the most frequently is having one or more long paragraphs (usually over a page in length). This is more common in stage plays where there can be monologues that go on for a while. Please break up any long paragraphs with something like Action and see if the program r...

Balsamo, Below is how you can print production sides. Thanks for submitting your question! Windows ⋅ Click on File > Print . ⋅ Choose Entire Document (or just the selected pages/scenes you want to include). ⋅ There is a pulldown menu that says Print Normally to Printer ...

Re: Font size
Currently, there is no way to change the Help Text font. This is a known limitation that will be fixed when Dramatica Story Expert for Windows becomes available (unknown ETA).

Re: Font size
I'm having problems with the font size within the query section. Specifically the help, context etc. section. I've used the set font feature within the edit tab, and used different fonts and sizes. It seems to work...until I select the different tabs within the help system whereupon it reverts back...

Re: Problems with MMSW 6 and Windows 10
Dale, We haven't seen anything like what you're describing with Screenwriter 6 on Windows 10 from our tests or reports from the field. I believe I responded to an email of yours earlier with steps to delete the settings file in case is has become corrupted. I don't think I have received a reply to t...

Did you happen to jot down the exact wording of the launch failure message?

Re: Can't launch Movie Magic
cheseg, We apologize that we haven't yet been able to figure out why Screenwriter isn't launching on your particular machine. This is a very strange stumper. Our other tech suggested that you create a new admin account via the Control Panel > User Accounts and Family Safety> User Accounts . I don't ...

Re: Exporting from MMS6 to Final Draft .fdx format
The .fdx file is a format from our competitor, Final Draft. You can export to a number of scheduling software apps in Screenwriter under File > Export to… Once in the scheduling app, you can usually create an export file to a budgeting app; a budget is dependent on the schedule.

Re: Highlighting characters
Unfortunately, there is no workaround at this time for the Windows version. If you have access to a Mac, you can export to PDF there and retain the text color in the PDF.

Re: Auto Correct
Thank you for your answer. I'm on a MAC -- Tools -- Edit User Dictionary -- choose USERDICT.LXA -- make changes and nothing happens. Still auto corrects to incorrect. I can't find where I could edit the file outside of MMS. I suppose I've developed a glitch. MMS has been on my machine for a REALLY ...

Re: MMS 6 Not Working with Dragon Naturally Speaking 11
That was our experience when we tested Screenwriter with Dragon NS 8. The basic dictation works fine, but the navigation and text selecting commands seemed to be wonky. You may have to use a hybrid style of dictating, whereby you dictate the text but keep your hands on TAB and ENTER to navigate the ...

Re: MMS 6 Not Working with Dragon Naturally Speaking 11
Hi, I know that there was another post a couple of years ago by someone who had tried to use Dragon NaturallySpeaking with Movie Magic Screenwriter, and I do plan to write to the author and asking about his experience, but was wondering if there or other people out there who had experience of using...

Re: Transition Scene window is quirky
When this happens with any pop-up list in Screenwriter, it means a paragraph, usually Action, was set to the wrong element type by mistake. My guess is that somewhere in your script, you have a paragraph of Action set as Transition accidentally. Once you find the errant paragraph — it should be fair...

Re: Problems in 4D Outline
Ken, as a heads up, I got a Windows 8 laptop and Outline 4D works without fail on it. I still don't know why it won't work right on my desktop, but at least I do have a computer it will work on. Good to hear. Every machine has its own quirks and possible set of problems. It's possible there is some...

Re: Problems in 4D Outline
The only problems I know of are when running Outline 4D on a 64-bit operating system, but usually running as administrator solves that problem. When the program crashes, does it give you a chance to generate or save a log file of the crash?
